Happy New Year - Welcome 2026

Happy New Year from the Black Canyon City Water Improvement District ????

On behalf of the Black Canyon City Water Improvement District Board, AJT Solutions, and Arizona Utility Operations, we wish our owner/users a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.

We are excited to begin 2026 with renewed energy and a strong focus on progress. The coming year marks an important chapter for the District—one defined by positive momentum, careful planning, and meaningful improvements that will help position BCCWID for long-term sustainability.

This new year also brings several important “firsts” for the District:

  • The opening of our new District office on January 5, 2026, the first office in 25 years operated directly by the District as a lessee rather than through a contractor.
  • A new, secure slotted drop box, clearly labeled BCCWID, is now installed on the wall near the entrance of the new office for the convenience of our owner/users.
  • The start of the year with a new operations team, bringing experience, know-how, and a clear commitment to operational excellence.
  • A focused effort to improve meter reading and billing accuracy, with the Board, staff, and operations team working collaboratively to identify and address longstanding issues. While not all issues can be resolved in a single billing cycle, improvements will continue until they are fully resolved.

Looking ahead, the Board is also prioritizing planning for long-overdue infrastructure repairs and system improvements. Taking a thoughtful, phased approach to addressing aging infrastructure is essential to ensuring reliable service, protecting water quality, and responsibly managing District resources.

As we move forward, we are intentionally using 2026 as a year to strategically prepare for the future—setting clear goals, identifying priorities, and developing practical strategies to achieve them. Community involvement is essential to this process, and we strongly encourage owner/users to attend Board meetings, participate in discussions, and share their perspectives as we plan together.

We look forward to working alongside our community in the year ahead and appreciate your participation, patience, and continued support as we move the District forward.

Here’s to a productive, transparent, and forward-looking 2026!
